Our Mission

Established in 2016, Mission TechConnect is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. Every person, regardless of age or socioeconomic class, deserves the opportunity to utilize technology as a powerful tool for facilitating positive societal changes and creative expression. Fueled by this sentiment, we offer enriching workshops to foster an intrinsic curiosity regarding technology amongst people of all demographics.  The more we reach out and the more people we affect, the better our community workforce and environment.

“We need to teach computer literacy for more reasons than innovation and consumerism. Programming requires critical thinking, math, communication, problem solving, and perseverance.”
— Mary Beth Hertz

WHAT WE DO:

Motivating- We nurture a will to knit the diverse fabric of the community by bridging gaps between generations and people from various walks of life. Our workshops at libraries, senior living homes, and homeless shelters aim at inspiring people to use the available resources around us to the fullest.

Teaching– Our workshops are designed to provide a solid foundation of digital fundamentals for individuals to build on. Our curriculum is self-paced and assesses the current level of “Tech IQ” through our various benchmark assessments. Even if a person has a limited background in the digital world, we cater our services to the pace and aptitude of every individual in the room.

Caring– Without a sense of caring, there can be no sense of community. Those who walked before us have given us so much and made possible the life we all enjoy. Hence, giving back to the community and caring are perhaps the greatest responsibilities we hold.

Meet the team.
